When its time for people to cut the extra cholesterol out of their eating routines, Vegan nutrition are often what they turn to. Vegetarians do not eat meat or animal products, which are the only foods that contain cholesterol. On the other hand, vegetables, fruits, grains, nuts and seeds all contain zero cholesterol.

It would seem that the health benefits of choosing vegetarian cuisine are obvious. But cholesterol is not the only aspect of menus rich in fruits and vegetables that is beneficial to our bodies. A well balanced menu plan that is high in veggies will tend to be rich in fiber. It is not as though you lose protein when you cut the meats out, either. Beans and nuts are full of protein, as are cheese and other dairy products, which vegans dont eat but vegetarians do. Diabetics too can benefit from cutting animal products from their diet, as a change to the vegetarian lifestyle often includes an increase in fruit intake. Studies have shown that fructose, the natural sugar found in fruits, has the least increase on sugar levels while being the sweetest of the naturals, so less is needed. A diabetic may find himself not only enjoying food more when he can actually consume some sugar, but weight loss may not be far behind when the processed sugars are cut out.
